Job summary

New Directions Mental Health, a Transformations Care Network member, is seeking Mental Health Therapists to empower clients and strengthen behavioral health in the community.

As a Therapist you will provide outpatient individual and family therapy, develop safety and wellness plans, and participate in case consultations while ensuring timely documentation and billing. You will collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians, and clinicians to deliver coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or related field.
• Provisional license per state regulation (if required).
• Educational background leading to professional licensing.
• Passion for mental health and high-quality care.
• Ongoing professional development including supervision and continuing education.
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Commitment to ethics and client confidentiality.
• Strong communication and rapport-building with clients and families.
• Efficient documentation and administrative task management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy.
• Develop crisis, safety, relapse and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Complete billing, documentation, and treatment plans; manage insurance authorizations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and staff for holistic care.
