Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Fee for Service Mental Health Outpatient Therapist to join our Adult Behavioral Health team in Coal Township, PA. The role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology and at least 1 year of experience in delivering psychological services, with CACD preferred.

Schedule consists of daytime hours, Monday-Friday, with compensation of $28–$40 per hour based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in the delivery of psychological services or a CACD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake services evaluating referrals to determine appropriate intervention.
• Prepare diagnostic assessments, case histories and related correspondence as per Merakey, DPW and DOH policies and regulations. Develop Treatment Plans: develop a preliminary treatment plan based on client’s presenting problem. The preliminary treatment plan is to be completed by the end of the second counseling session. A Master Treatment is to be developed by the end of the fourth counseling session. Therapists and client will identify individualized treatment issues, long and short term goals, and the type and frequency of services to meet those goals. Therapists will review and revise treatment plans with the client every 60 days.
• Provide ongoing therapy and supportive counseling services to assigned caseload. Conduct and complete client case consults with supervisor and/or other clinical staff as often as needed but at least once every 90 days for D&A clients for the first year, once a year thereafter.

The Master Treatment plan and subsequent Treatment plan updates are to be reviewed and signed by the client, therapists, clinical supervisor and psychiatrist or supervisory physician.
