Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is hiring a Mental Health Technician to join the nursing team, coordinating patient-centric therapy in a 84-bed facility in Augusta, GA. The role emphasizes observation, patient care, and collaboration with clinicians to deliver high-quality behavioral health programming.

Qualifications include being 21+, HS diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and willingness to obtain Handle With Care certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with high school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire.
• Must be able and willing to become certified in therapeutic restraint technique program (Handle With Care).
• Experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistants and Registered Behavioral Technicians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Participate in treatment planning.
• Assist in the admission process.
• Orient new patients to the unit and their program.
• Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions.
• Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation.
