Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Mental Health Technician to support psychiatric care. You will participate in treatment planning, assist in admissions, orient new patients, and help prepare group therapy sessions within a compliant, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications include being at least 21 years old, holding CPR/First Aid, and willingness to obtain the Handle With Care certification, with opportunity for career growth within UHS and its

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Associates or Bachelors level education in a human service related field required.
• Valid driver's license with no suspensions or tickets for major traffic violations for at least three years.
• Experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire.
• Must be able and willing to become certified in therapeutic restraint technique program (Handle With Care).

Responsibilities

• Participate in treatment planning.
• Assist in the admission process.
• Orient new patients to the unit and their program.
• Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions.
• Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation.
