Job summary

BayCare Health Systems is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join Winter Haven Behavioral Health in Winter Haven, FL. This full-time, hourly position supports inpatient care on the evening shift (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with every-other weekend and no on-call requirement.

Responsibilities include direct patient care under RN supervision, vigilant observation for safety, and fostering therapeutic communication with patients.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• 6 months of psychology or related field experience

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.

Mental Health Technician Position Details:

• Facility: Winter Haven Behavioral Health
• Location: Winter Haven, FL
• Status: Full time, Hourly
• Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician Responsibilities:

Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
