Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to support patients across their treatment journey. Working with licensed clinical staff, you will provide compassionate, hands‑on care addressing physical, social, and behavioral needs in a 24/7 hospital environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and direct patient care experience; nursing assistant training or psychiatric experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Experience in direct patient care and/or nursing assistant training.
• Psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine non-acute physical, behavioral, and mental care under licensed staff.
• Completes documentation clearly, aligns with patient goals and treatment plans.
• Adapts to individual patient needs and maintains shift continuity.
• Supports unit’s therapeutic milieu and collaborates with the care team.
