McLean Hospital is seeking a Part-time Mental Health Support role responsible for direct patient care in a psychiatric setting at our Oak Street location. The position requires flexibility to work Day and Evening shifts, totaling 32 hours per week across four 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, safety, and upkeep of the therapeutic milieu, with emphasis on collaboration with the health care team and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 0-1 year related experience preferred.
• BLS certification and LNA/Nursing Assistant credentials preferred in related settings.
• CPI training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Provide parent/family counseling and family systems interventions.
• Adhere to guidelines for patients on special status (e.g. suicide precautions).
• Provide shift-to-shift report and remain on unit during incoming shift.
• React quickly and act effectively in emergencies.
• Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times.
• Complete and file all required documentation promptly.
