Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is seeking a Mental Health Technician for a part-time daytime schedule. The role provides direct patient care in the Behavioral Health Department under RN supervision, focusing on non-invasive tasks and supportive services.

Responsibilities include environment rounds, ADL assistance, hydration and nutrition support, mobility assistance, and other duties as needed to maintain safe, respectful care for patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College degree in behavioral science or one year psychiatric technician experience in an inpatient acute psychiatric hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environment rounds and monitor unit milieu.
• Help with ADLs: elimination care and hygiene care in a manner that promotes safety, dignity, and comfort.
• Assist with hydration and nutrition status.
• Assist in patients' increased mobility.
• Perform other job duties/assignments as assigned.
