Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking Mental Health Technicians to provide direct care, supervision, and safety for residents. You will support hygiene, self-help skills, and model effective problem solving within our psychiatric program.

You will assist in recreational and therapeutic activities, transport residents to appointments, and help ensure scheduled programming is carried out under ANA standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience working with a psychiatric in-patient population preferred.
• Must be able to work 8 hours day, standing and walking for prolonged periods.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision for residents.
• Ensure residents are kept safe and learn self-help skills.
• Serve as a role model and demonstrate problem solving and decision-making.
• Assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities and transport residents to appointments.
