Job summary

SalusCare, Inc is hiring a Mental Health Technician to provide direct care for patients with mental health and addiction diagnoses in residential and crisis settings. You will support therapeutic environments, document accurately, and collaborate with clinical teams across crisis units, detox, and transitional living.

Requirements include crisis intervention skills, ability to use verbal and, if necessary, physical interventions as a last resort, and a HS diploma with one year of direct-care

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma/equivalent and one (1) year direct-care experience in a behavioral health, human services, corrections, mental health or related field.
• Or completion of the equivalent of 30 semester/credit hours towards an undergraduate degree in health, behavioral health, human services or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe, therapeutic environments across multiple programs, serving children and adults with mental health, substance abuse and dual-diagnosis.
• Maintain detailed daily documentation and collaborate with clinical teams to support treatment plans.
• Operate effectively across diverse department, including Adult/Children's Crisis Units, Detox and Transitional Living.

Looking for a Mental Health Technician with a proven background in direct care for patients with mental health and addiction diagnoses. Must have hands‑on skills in crisis intervention and safe patient transportation. Dedicated to maintaining a therapeutic environment, accurate documentation, and collaborative care across adult and children crisis units, detoxification, and adult residential unit.

Job Qualifications:

Requires a High School diploma/equivalent. One (1) year direct‑care experience in a behavioral health, human services, corrections, mental health or related field. Should possess a general knowledge of co‑occurring disorders in order to best serve both target populations (substance abuse and mental health preferred). Must be comfortable working with children and adults and to use verbal and physical interventions (as a last resort) to manage aggression.
