Looking for a Mental Health Technician with a proven background in direct care for patients with mental health and addiction diagnoses. Must have hands‑on skills in crisis intervention and safe patient transportation. Dedicated to maintaining a therapeutic environment, accurate documentation, and collaborative care across adult and children crisis units, detoxification, and adult residential unit.
Requires a High School diploma/equivalent. One (1) year direct‑care experience in a behavioral health, human services, corrections, mental health or related field. OR The successful completion of the equivalent of 30 semester/credit hours towards an undergraduate degree in health, behavioral health, human services or a related field.
Should possess a general knowledge of co‑occurring disorders in order to best serve both target populations (substance abuse and mental health preferred). Must be comfortable working with children and adults and to use verbal and physical interventions (as a last resort) to manage aggression.
