Job Summary and Qualifications

There has never been a greater need for passionate, caring individuals in mental health. The Mental Health Technician provides patient-centered care by performing basic nursing functions and activities of daily living under RN supervision, supporting nursing care plans.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing care and supervision to psychiatric patients.
  • Recording patient vital signs.
  • Documenting physical or behavioral changes.
  • Participating as part of the treatment team.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
  • CNA preferred.
  • At least one year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical skills preferred.
