Position Type: Part-time

Work Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:30PM

Hours Per Week: 24

Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire; certification must be kept current for continued employment
  • Clearance through the Family Care Registry
  • Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment
  • Department orientation with classroom and clinical training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel regulations or background that meets these regulations, which may include:

Demonstrated competency in the required content areas, duties specific to the job and patient population, or meeting certain educational or certification criteria, such as:

  • Enrolled in a professional or practical nursing program with completed fundamentals of nursing
  • Failed state licensure exams within the past three years as a nursing candidate
  • Certified nursing assistant or equivalent certification
  • Formal training meeting UAP curriculum standards
  • Experience as nurse assistant, emergency medical technician, or surgical technician within the past three years
  • Proof of UAP training in Missouri within the last three years
  • Completion of a professional or licensed practical nursing program outside the U.S. awaiting licensure

Note: UAPs from staffing agencies must also comply with training requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in patient care, including assistance with ambulation, feeding, and activities of daily living
  • Previous mental health experience
  • BCLS certification
