Baptist Health Princeton Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Mental Health Tech I for full-time day shifts in Geriatric Psychiatry. The role provides direct nursing support under the supervision of an RN, with focus on safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR certification must be maintained.
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Documents observations on assigned patients in legible, accurate and appropriate format following hospital procedures.
• Communicates information about the patient’s condition to the RN and healthcare team.
• Assists with nursing education groups.
• Completes AM/PM care, vital signs, phlebotomy and milieu supervision.
• Transports and delivers items, equipment and medications throughout the facility.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to age-specific needs.
