Job summary

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Tech I for weekend nights in the Geri Psych unit. You will perform general nursing care under RN supervision, focusing on safety and comfort and contributing to a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include documenting observations, communicating patient status, assisting with care, vital signs, and unit tasks. Requires HS diploma, CPR, and relevant certifications; experience is listed as 6 months in related roles.

Qualifications

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification; Handle with Care (HWC) within 90 days of hire.
Experience: listed as 180 days (6 months) in related mental health/psychiatric support roles.
Licensure/Certification: CPR and HWC certifications current or in progress.

Responsibilities

Documents observations in patient records with legible, accurate format.
Communicates patient status to RN and health-care team.
Assists with nursing education groups and admissions/discharges as assigned.
Assists with AM/PM care, vital signs, phlebotomy, milieu supervision and unit tasks.
Maintains unit safety, cleanliness, and supplies efficiency.
