Job summary

Compass Intervention Center is seeking a dynamic Mental Health Tech to create a safe milieu for clients and provide direct supervision and care under supervision. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, education groups, and activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred; high school diploma required.
• One-year experience working with a psychiatric client population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, growth and development; limit setting and behavior management; crisis management with aggressive behaviors; Verbal De-Escalation; CPR training.
• Prefer knowledge of teaching skills and educational strategies with a special education population, individual and group management skills, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development; limit setting and crisis and behavior management.
