Job summary

Oxbow Center seeks a Mental Health Technician to provide direct patient care in a therapeutic setting. You will assist with treatment planning, education for families, and support for daily living activities while promoting safety and well-being.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, teamwork, and the ability to document observations and collaborate with clinical staff. A valid driver’s license is preferred. On-site work and 1 year of healthcare experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in mental health is advantageous.
• 1 year prior experience in a mental health or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior training or experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance to patients in a therapeutic environment.
• Assist in treatment planning and education for families.
• Support activities of daily living, transportation, and independent living.
• Conduct observations and document changes in patient condition.
