Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in mental health is advantageous.
• 1 year prior experience in a mental health or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation training is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular observations and assessments of patients' mental and emotional states.
• Document changes in behavior or condition to the healthcare team.
• Respond to crisis situations with de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and independence support.
• Facilitate therapeutic activities and group sessions.
• Observe medications and report adverse reactions to the team.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the team.
• Transport clients to appointments in agency vehicles.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow safety procedures.
• Complete timely documentation and reporting of patient interactions.
