Job summary

ODMHSAS is seeking a Mental Health Technician I to deliver non-professional direct care for behavioral health patients in an inpatient setting. You will assist in de-escalation, transport residents, and help carry out scheduled programming, with a role model approach in problem solving.

The position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and a willingness to travel as needed; OSBI background checks are required. Open to multiple vacancies with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required for MHT I.
• Able to pass OSBI background check.
• Willing to travel as needed and have a valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-professional direct care for behavioral health consumers in an inpatient setting.
• Participate in de-escalation activities and ensure consumer safety.
• Assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Transport residents to medical appointments.
• Carry out scheduled programming.
