Job summary

AltaPointe Health Systems is seeking a Residential Assistant to support supervised group homes for adults with serious mental illness. You will help organize activities, manage consumer appointments and transportation, and assist with documentation and reporting to ensure quality care.

The role requires coordinating with the treatment team, supporting discharge planning, and maintaining accurate MAR reviews to support safe medication management. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health service-related field with 1 year direct mental health service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in another field with 2 years direct mental health service experience.
• High school diploma/GED with 3 years direct mental health residential experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in organizing and implementing program activities for residential group homes.
• Oversee money management and consumer appointments, and arrange transportation.
• Assist in completing reports and coordinating discharge and care planning.
• Provide coverage and direct services as needed, including acting as program supervisor when required.
• Review MARs to ensure proper medication management and communicate with medical staff as needed.
• Document services clearly per policy and ensure continuity of care.
