Mental Health Residential Advisor - Full Time

Join us at CooperRiis Healing Community as a Mental Health Residential Advisor - Full Time.

Position Details

• Location: Asheville, NC
• Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday, 3 pm – 11 pm
• Salary: $17.00 per hour, with increases based on experience
• Employment Type: Full-time (minimum 32 hours per week)

Responsibilities

1. Provide relationship-oriented coaching and support to residents to help them achieve their goals.
2. Ensure the health and safety of residents, respond promptly to concerns, and complete check-ins.
3. Encourage and facilitate residents' participation in recreational, social, and cultural activities.
4. Create spontaneous social experiences for residents not involved in scheduled activities.
5. Assist residents with room cleaning and maintain cleanliness of common areas.
6. Transport residents to scheduled appointments as needed.
7. Serve as a first responder for on-call services during evening hours.
8. Maintain documentation for assigned residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience working with individuals affected by mental illness.
• 21 years or older, with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to be covered by the organization’s auto insurance.
• Commitment to diversity and creating an inclusive environment.
• Work in a Smoke/Drug/Alcohol Free Facility.
