Job summary

JSSA in Northern Virginia is seeking a full-time Program and Consumer Support Specialist to support Mental Health Services. You will handle day-to-day administrative tasks, manage appointments, maintain EHR records, and ensure program compliance.

The role requires collaboration with staff and clients, and some evenings with in-office days in Fairfax. The ideal candidate has a related bachelor’s degree (or 2–3 years in a similar role), excellent communication, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2-3 years in a similar position.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented
• Experience with an electronic health record system
• Advanced level knowledge with MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word), and aptitude to master other computer programs and reporting systems easily
• Commitment to working in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on collaboration with colleagues and clients
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with some in-office days in Fairfax, VA and some evenings until 6:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Utilize an electronic health record to accept and record payment; manage and schedule appointments; provide administrative demographic screening for individuals seeking services
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and contract requirements
• Ensure effective and efficient engagement of individuals receiving services
• Engage new providers into the network and complete the contracting process
• Manage and prepare data to utilize in program reports
• Provide operational support in accordance with demand of program and/or service model
