Job summary

Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions seeks a Mental Health Professional (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) to provide clinical services under supervision in a correctional facility. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence‑based psychotherapies for the site's psychiatric population.

The role emphasizes group facilitation, clinical documentation, and collaboration with facility staff. Nighttime 12‑hour shift from 19:00 to 07:00 with potential transition from PRN to full‑time

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.
• Coursework and professional experience indicating knowledge of mental health counseling, psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment, assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and consultation.
• LMSW, LPC, or equivalent licensure in the state; CPR and other required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Complete clinical documentation, including service reports and treatment records.
• Consult with institutional staff regarding mental status and patient management.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and program development activities.
• Maintain accountability through Quality Improvement and accurate activity recording.

Provide clinical services to individuals under the supervision of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, or Mental Health Director. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide evidence‑based psychotherapeutic interventions, and offer mental health consultation and training to facility staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic evaluations in compliance with policies and professional standards.
• Complete clinical documentation, including service reports and mental health treatment records, promptly and professionally.
• Consult with institutional staff, screening committees, and psychiatric staff regarding the mental status and management of persons served.
• Participate in staff meetings, in‑service training programs, and specialized clinical services or program development activities.
• Maintain accountability through the Quality Improvement program and accurate recording of activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.
• Coursework and professional experience indicating knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
• LMSW, LPC, or equivalent licensure in the state; must maintain CPR and any other required certifications (e.g., First Aid).

Additional Details

This is a nighttime, 12‑hour shift position (19:00–07:00). Focus is heavily on facilitating groups and supporting therapeutic services for the site’s psychiatric population. Candidates must be comfortable working in a correctional environment and may transition from PRN to full‑time employment as the need is finalized.
