Acenda Integrated Health is seeking an Emergency Screener in New Jersey to join the ARRIVE program. You will respond to police referrals, perform crisis assessments, and determine the need for hospitalization in crisis situations.

On-call nights and weekends are required across Gloucester County and Cape May, with a strong emphasis on de-escalation and safe outcomes. The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in a mental-health field and appropriate crisis certifications; driving is required for

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of post-master’s experience in a psychiatric setting; or Bachelor’s degree plus three years post-bachelors experience in mental health, one in crisis.
• A Screener Certification is required or must be obtainable; Crisis Negotiation certification in progress is acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and acceptable driving record are required.

Responsabilités

• Responds to police-initiated outreach for mental and behavioral health calls and crisis situations.
• Provides de-escalation and community-based planning; conducts mental health evaluations to assess hospitalization needs.
• Completes documentation, screening assessments, and data tracking; supports crisis response and SWAT calls as needed.
• Maintains crisis training and liaison with law enforcement and community partners.
