Job summary

Acenda Integrated Health is hiring an Emergency Screener for the Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services Program in Cape May, New Jersey. The PES provides 24/7 crisis intervention for individuals who are suicidal, homicidal, or acutely psychotic.

The Screener conducts mental health evaluations to determine hospitalization needs and collaborates with staff to resolve crises. The role requires a Bachelor's in a mental-health field with 3+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years post-bachelors, full-time equivalent, professional experience in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting
• Preferred: Master’s degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of postmaster’s, full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with all staff to effectively communicate and problem solve
• Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently
• Must regularly be able to see, speak and hear
• Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, bend, use hands and arms and must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
