Job summary

Acenda Integrated Health is seeking an Emergency Screener to respond to crisis referrals, de-escalate incidents, and conduct mental health evaluations to determine hospitalization needs. On-call nights/weekends are required for crisis response (Gloucester County only).

The role requires a Screener Certification, a relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree, and active driving credentials. The position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and additional bilingual pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have a master’s or bachelor’s in mental-health-related field with relevant post-degree experience.
• Screener Certification required.
• Current or ability to work towards Crisis Negotiation certification.

Responsibilities

• Responds to police-initiated outreach for mental and behavioral health calls involving law enforcement.
• Provides de-escalation techniques and supports crisis response.
• Completes documentation and screening assessments and data tracking.
• Responds to barricaded (crisis) negotiation and SWAT calls during or after hours (Gloucester County).
• Maintains crisis training and provides resources and linkages for community discharges.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
