Job summary

Monte Nido Walden in Dedham, MA, is seeking a Mental Health Counselor to provide direct patient care to adolescents and adults in a 24-hour treatment setting. The role supports a comprehensive program with supervision from clinical staff and program leadership.

Shifts include Full-Time, Part-Time and Per Diem with rotating weekend coverage. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour based on education and experience.; On-site role at a nationally recognized eating disorder treatment

Qualifications

High School diploma; Bachelor's in Psychology or related field preferred.
Two years of office experience in a health-related field preferred.
CPR Certification required.
Knowledge of psychiatric group processes and crisis management.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring residents and redirecting behaviors.
Assist residents through admission, including paperwork and orientation to unit.
Establish therapeutic relationships and provide resident care per program policies.
Document daily resident notes accurately and thoroughly.
Supervise meals and assist in meal preparation for adolescents and adults.
Participate in group therapies and community meetings.
Facilitate group sessions such as DBT, CBT, and Body Image.
Communicate with treatment teams to ensure high-quality care.
Conduct daily resident weigh-ins and safety documentation.
