Adams and Associates, Inc. seeks a licensed mental health professional to serve as a Center Mental Health Consultant in California.

You will identify and diagnose mental health needs, provide basic care and promote wellness, education, and prevention to staff and students. The role involves advising Center leadership, integrating mental health with other center programs, and offering crisis intervention and short-term therapy within licensed practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a Clinical/Counseling Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an active, unrestricted license to practice as an independent practitioner in the state where the center is located.
• Two years of experience in diagnostic assessment and therapy services with youth and young adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advises the Center Director and health and wellness staff on all mental health matters and program consultation.
• Develops a system to promote coordination of mental health with other Center programs and activities.
• Provides consultation to wellness instructors regarding mental health services during student introduction to Center life.
• Maintains mental health records with confidentiality and safeguarding.
• Provides diagnostic and evaluative services to students as necessary.
• Offers crisis intervention, short-term therapy, and psychotropic management within licensure.
• Refers students to appropriate services when required and coordinates with TEAP staff.
• Mentors and models Career Success Standards as required by policy.
