Job summary

Wellness Together, a California nonprofit, seeks a Mental Health Specialist to provide individual and group counseling to students, conduct intake assessments, and develop treatment plans on-site at assigned school sites in San Leandro, CA. The role includes crisis intervention, collaboration with families and staff, and leading mental health workshops.

Preferred candidates hold an advanced degree in a related field, with BBS registration in good standing and experience with trauma-informed care

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• BBS registration in good standing (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC).
• Experience working with youth impacted by trauma (preferred).
• Familiarity with CBT, ACT, and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to collaborate with school teams and families.
• Fluency in a second language (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Offer crisis intervention and perform risk assessments.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners.
• Lead mental health workshops for students, parents, and educators.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation (HIPAA & FERPA compliant).
• Attend triadic clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
