Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support direct patient care in the ED/psychiatric settings. You will assist with intake, daily hygiene, safety checks, and comfort measures under the supervision of licensed staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policy, and the ability to respond to escalating situations. Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn CPI and BLS within 30 days are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of CNA experience in acute care preferred.
• Experience in ED or psychiatric unit preferred.
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire preferred for interpreters.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake/admissions for mental health patients arriving to ED or transferring from other areas of ED.
• Provide direct patient care with emphasis on hygiene and safety.
• Monitor patient condition, report changes to nurse.
• Assist with discharge readiness and transport as needed.
• Record vital signs and data, assist with specimen collection.
• Mentor new staff as needed.
• Transport medications per policy and ensure security.
