Job summary

David Lawrence Centers in Naples, Florida, seeks a Master's level clinician for the Emergency Services Assessment Center. You will perform psychiatric/clinical triage, crisis interventions, and psycho-social assessments for adults, families, and children, coordinating care and discharge planning.

The role requires a Master's in a relevant field, 1 year of mental health experience, proficiency with EMR and Office 365, and ability to work a Thu-Sun schedule with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a clinical field required.
• Minimum 1 year mental health experience.
• Strong knowledge of mental health/substance use treatment principles.
• Ability to assist with discharge planning and post-discharge appointments.
• Proficiency with EMR and Office 365 preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: Our Emergency Services Assessment Center (ESAC) provides elevated and modern Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder services; this role is open for someone who combines clinical skills with a compassionate approach to proactive intake-based assessment and triage.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Conducting psychiatric/clinical triage for Clients with mental health or substance use disorder issues; some with severe and persistent co-occurring disorders.
• - Crisis interventions with adults, families, and children.
• - Completing comprehensive psycho-social assessments with adults and children.
• - Facilitating timely, thoughtful and accurate discharges for Clients who have been admitted to the Emergency Services Assessment Center and Crisis Stabilization Units.
• - Completing comprehensive psycho-social assessments for DLC's inpatient Detox Program.
• - Developing and evaluating individualized Client treatment plans.
• - Assisting Access Center when needed with triages and assessments.
• - Completing insurance authorization for Clients admitted to Emergency Services Assessment Center, Crisis stabilization Units and Detox Program.
• - Providing crisis support via telephone and the National Suicide Hotline.
• - Cross-training with other DLC professionals to deliver seamless Client care.
• - Working closely with DLC Providers, Nurses, other Clinicians, Behavioral Health Technicians, Support Staff and external community partners.

Qualifications:

• - Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Psychiatric Nursing, Rehabilitation Counseling or other relevant field = Required
• - 1 years of experience in Mental Healthcare/Behavioral Healthcare setting = Required
• - Knowledge of Mental Health/ Substance Use Disorder treatment principles/techniques = Required
• - Ability to assist with inpatient discharge planning and post discharge appointments = Required
• - Strong capabilities in multi-disciplinary team collaboration = Required
• - Accurate efficiency in a demanding and fast-paced environment = Required
• - Ability to relate to a diverse group of Clients and co-workers = Required
• - Adaptability to varying and emergent work conditions = Required
• - Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred
• - Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
• - Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required

Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
