Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Mental Health Clinician (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) in Lancaster, CA. This full-time role offers a 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, with a competitive starting compensation and employer-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits.

You will provide evidence-based services to adolescents and families, including assessment, therapy, and treatment planning within a high-fidelity wraparound program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mental Health, Human Services, or closely related field.
• Valid California Driver's License with a driving record that meets company eligibility policies.
• One year of experience in the mental health field and direct service with emotionally disturbed clients; experience with high-risk populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services including assessment and evaluation.
• Deliver individual and family therapy, collateral work, crises intervention, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with case management.
• Attend Child & Family Team (CFT) meetings and community meetings.
• Support families with plans for ongoing recovery and re-integration.

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) provides mental health services (including assessment and evaluation) and other services to clients referred to the TEAMMATES programs. Provides therapeutic services including but not limited to individual and family therapy, collaterals, crises intervention skill building and treatment planning. The Mental Health Specialist is an active contributor in multidisciplinary teams and will assist various team members as needed to provide services to families or assist with case management or developing plans for the family. He/she acts as a liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & non-clinical staff. The Mental Health Specialist will attend various client and family meetings such Child & Family Team (CFT) meetings, psychoeducation groups, plan development meetings, as well as various external and community meetings.
