Stars Behavioral Health Group in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Mental Health Clinician (Spanish Speaking Required) to join Star View Teammates - Early Psychosis Intervention. You will provide comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and families, including assessments and therapy, in a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master's degree in Mental Health or related field, CA BBS registration or licensure at AMFT/ACSW/APCC level, and at least 1 year of experience with high-risk

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mental Health, Human Services, or closely related field is required.
  • One year of experience in mental health and direct service with high-risk populations is required.
  • CA BBS registration/AMFT, ACSW, or APCC licensure (MHS II/III) is required/eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health services including assessment, evaluation, individual and family therapy.
  • Deliver crisis intervention, treatment planning, and collateral support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with external agencies.
  • Attend client/family meetings (CFT, psychoeducation groups) and participate in care planning.

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) provides mental health services (including assessment and evaluation) and other services to clients referred to the TEAMMATES programs. Provides therapeutic services, including but not limited to individual and family therapy, collaterals, crisis intervention skill building, and treatment planning. The Mental Health Specialist is an active contributor in multidisciplinary teams and will assist various team members as needed to provide services to families or assist with case management or developing plans for the family. He/she acts as a liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & non-clinical staff. The Mental Health Specialist will attend various client and family meetings, such as Child & Family Team (CFT) meetings, psychoeducation groups, plan development meetings, as well as various external and community meetings.
