Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group seeks an Associate Mental Health Clinician to provide trauma-informed, client-centered therapeutic services within Fresno County’s community-based outpatient setting. The role includes individual, family, and group therapy, with supervision for BBS hours where applicable.

You will assess needs, develop treatment plans with the team, and participate in crises, with driving to homes, schools, and community sites as needed. A Master’s in a relevant field is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Active registration with the California BBS as an Associate (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC) for specified levels.
• At least one year of direct service experience in a mental health setting; student internship/practicum hours count.
• Valid California Driver's License and driving eligibility per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess immediate and ongoing needs of youth and families and develop treatment plans with the treatment team.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using trauma-informed and client-centered approaches.
• Facilitate treatment team meetings and support crisis intervention.
• Connect clients and families with appropriate resources and services across settings (homes, schools, community locations, office).
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide crisis support.
