Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Allegheny County MH/ID seeks a motivated County Caseworker 1 to help clients access mental health services and achieve stability.

You will perform duties including client support, training participation, ensuring compliance, coordinating with agencies, and applying knowledge of behavioral health resources. Full-time, 40 hours per week; some telework available after probation.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 with 12 college credits in related social sciences.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits and one year of paraprofessional case management.

Responsibilities

• Client Support: Assist clients in obtaining mental health services that promote positive adjustment
• Training Participation: Take part in supervised training to learn how to deliver services as a mental health delegate
• Regulation Compliance: Follow state and local laws, policies, and procedures related to behavioral health services
• Community Coordination: Work with authorities, agencies, and partners to support strong outcomes for clients and families
• Resource Knowledge: Use basic understanding of behavioral health offices to guide services for clients
