Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a patient-focused nurse aide to support RN-directed care on the nursing unit in a clinical setting. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, vital signs, and positioning, document data in the EMR, and help coordinate tests and treatments across departments.

Ideal candidates show BLS within 30 days, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to deliver compassionate, timely patient care while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (American Heart Association).
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility, and positioning.
• Measures and documents vital signs and inputs/outputs, and daily weights.
• Documents in EMR and coordinates tests and treatments with multiple departments.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety, maintains infection control and hand hygiene.
• Answers call lights promptly and communicates observations to RN.
