Job summary

Northeast Health Services, part of Transformations Care Network, seeks a Prescriber Medical Administrative Assistant to support clinicians with scheduling, patient communications, and EMR documentation. You’ll handle telehealth troubleshooting, authorizations, and insurance updates, while maintaining HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced mental health setting.

Ideal candidates bring prior Medical Assistant experience, strong customer service, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to do a thorough job in a fast-paced environment with strong time management.
• Interface well with patients and teammates in a mental health setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in stressful situations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with EMR, medical terminology, and clinical pharmacology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls professionally and respond to voicemails promptly.
• Guide patients through telehealth tools and portals and troubleshoot issues.
• Process medication prior authorizations and coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Provide administrative support to providers and complete required paperwork.
• Manage patient scheduling and relay financial information and insurance updates.
• Document in EMR accurately and timely and assist with regulatory compliance.
• Assist with training new team members and handle waitlists for prescribers.
