Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a Mental Health BSN Nursing Instructor to join our Workforce Development efforts with Kaweah Health in Visalia. The instructor will provide lab and clinical education, coordinate rotations, and assess student performance against outcomes, while maintaining records and contributing to program improvement.

Requirements include CA BRN license with instructor eligibility, a Master’s in nursing/education/administration or a BSN with study toward a master’s, and at least four

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered California BRN license.
• Eligible for CA BRN approval as Instructor in Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree includes nursing/education/admin coursework; or a BSN with further study.
• Minimum four years RN direct patient care experience; recent preferred.
• Experience teaching nursing or related courses; additional teaching in nursing valued.
• Expertise in Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide lab and clinical education to students in assigned programs.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate student clinical experiences per curriculum.
• Give timely feedback on clinical performance and maintain student records.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Utilize online activities to enhance course content and instruction.
• Attend meetings and participate in program committees.
