Job summary

Summit Oaks Hospital seeks a Mental Health Associate (MHA) to join the treatment team, providing continuous patient care and supervision across age groups from preschool to geriatrics. The role supports role modeling and monitoring on multiple units, including detox and rehab.

Responsibilities include vital signs, educational groups, and responding to codes within a full-time day shift (7:00am - 7:00pm) with alternating weekends. Hospital certifications will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in health-related field with one year of psychiatric experience, preferably inpatient.
• Or two years of psychiatric experience with evidence of continuing education related to mental health.
• Must maintain CPR and First Aid, Verbal De-escalation and Handle with Care certifications which will be provided by the Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Function as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling.
• Monitor patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics on assigned units.
• Take vital signs, conduct educational groups and respond to codes.
