Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Clinical Support role to deliver direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. The incumbent will help lead educational groups and assist with milieu management to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, BLS and CPI training within specified timelines, and prefer 1 year of Behavioral Health experience, with opportunities for growth within a

• Basic Life Support Certification (Required within 90 days of hire)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training (Required within 15 days of hire)
• 1-year Behavioral Health work experience (Preferred)
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and abnormal human behavior (Preferred)
