Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response team. The role assesses patients in the emergency department with behavioral health concerns and provides treatment recommendations.

Requires a Master's Degree in Social Work or related field and LPC or LCSW licensure. At least 1 year of experience is preferred, with crisis experience valued. Rotating shift in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field (Required).
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - (Required).
• At least 1 year of outpatient or inpatient experience preferred.
• Crisis experience preferred; strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation for each patient.
• Collaborate with patients, families, healthcare team, and community agencies to develop plans.
• Evaluate effectiveness of plans and initiate changes as needed.

Sentara Health is now hiring a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist. This position will be a part of the Psychiatric Emergency Response team that assess patients in the Sentara Emergency Departments who present with behavioral/mental health concerns and will provide recommendations for treatment.

Education
