Job summary

Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections – Corrections Services, Raymond Laborde Correctional Center, Cottonport, LA, seeks an Administrative Coordinator to support the Mental Health Department. You will manage daily operations, maintain offender data records, generate schedules, and prepare reports for internal and external review.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and coordination with security, clinical staff, and nursing practitioners.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in administrative services.
• Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
• Ability to follow policies, manage resources, and coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, prints, and distributes daily callouts for Mental Health classes and appointments.
• Updates offender information across secure databases with data integrity.
• Generates callouts and transmits documentation to two Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
• Compiles and formats Mental Health reports and attendance logs.
• Retrieves and provides Mental Health records to authorized requests.
• Serves as the primary timekeeper for the Mental Health Department.
