Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital in Indiana's Center area is seeking an Assistant Manager for Mental Crisis Services within the Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness. The role leads daily clinical and operational patient care, guides crisis assessments, and partners with the Manager to support staff development and patient/family satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, engaging in budget input, and conducting leader rounding to address concerns and improve service quality

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program required.
• Post-Master’s experience in a mental health treatment or healthcare setting required.
• 4-6 years clinical experience with children and adolescents, preferably in a crisis or inpatient setting.
• LISW or LPCC. Current license in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily clinical and operational patient care in the department.
• Assist with care coordination, emergency behavioral health pre-screening, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals.
• Support the Manager as a clinical educator to the Behavioral Crisis Services team.
• Participate in budget input and staff performance appraisals.
• Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and patient satisfaction.
• Conduct leader rounding with patients and families to resolve concerns.
