We are currently seeking a reliable, empathetic, and safety minded Mental Health Technician/Security team member to join our treatment team. As a Mental Health Technician (MHT)/ Security staff provides direct support, safety oversight, and crisis intervention for clients in our behavioral health hospital. This role helps maintain a therapeutic environment while ensuring all safety protocols and facility policies are followed. Monitor client behavior, conduct safety rounds, and maintain a secure environment. Assist with admissions, searches, room checks, and client monitoring procedures Monitor inventory of patient’s items. Accurately record vital signs Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide information for development and revision. Employ crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniques Assist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities. Patriciate in emergency response procedures as needed.

Your Experience Matters

What we’re looking for: Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferred; or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services or appropriate therapeutic discipline. Licensure: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration is preferred. Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred. Additional Skill Requirements: May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
