South Sound Behavioral Hospital in Lacey, WA seeks a dedicated Mental Health Technician (MHT) / Security for full-time nights. You will support safety, crisis intervention, and therapeutic care for patients, while upholding hospital policies and trauma-informed practices.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or CNA, with 1 year of related psychiatric care experience. Overtime may be required; we offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; CNA preferred.
• Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration preferred.
• At least 1 year related psychiatric care experience.
• Overtime and flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client behavior and conduct safety rounds.
• Assist admissions, searches, room checks, and patient monitoring.
• Record vital signs accurately.
• Follow treatment plans and document progress.
• Apply crisis-intervention techniques and CPI per policy.
• Assist with discharge planning and daily living activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in emergency procedures when needed.
