Job summary

Men’s Wearhouse is hiring a Retail Store Tailor-Alterations to ensure garments fit perfectly and delight customers. You’ll mark, tailor, press, and customize clothing while guiding guests through sizing and alteration options.

The role requires formal tailoring training or experience in menswear, strong technical sewing skills, and good communication. You may work across store locations, with hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Formal tailoring training is preferred.
• Experience as a menswear tailor is highly preferred.
• Good technical skill with sewing equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency in all basic and advanced alterations of men’s tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper fit of garments
• Answer customer questions
• Mark garments for tailoring
• Press garments
• Maintain an open dialogue with management
• Help other team members
• Help to keep the tailor shop clean and organized
• Make sure that customers are properly sized
• Offer new wardrobe ensemble suggestions
