Job summary

Men's Wearhouse, a division of Tailored Brands, is seeking a Retail Store Tailor—Alterations to help guests look their best with expertly marked, altered, and pressed garments. You’ll deliver high-quality alterations and support a positive customer experience in-store.

You will work with the team to ensure proper fit, greet customers, and provide wardrobe solutions, leveraging menswear knowledge and strong communication to delight guests.

Qualifications

• Formal tailoring training preferred.
• Experience as a menswear tailor highly preferred.
• Good technical skill.
• Solid knowledge of sewing equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team attitude and enthusiasm.
• Proficiency in all basic and advanced alterations of men's tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the selling process by greeting, interacting with, and responding to customers regarding any special requests they may have.
• Mark, alter, and press garments to ensure a perfect fit for customers’ selections.
• Ensure the proper fit of garments.
• Answer customer questions.
• Mark garments for tailoring.
• Press garments.
• Maintain an open dialogue with management.
• Help other team members.
• Help to keep the tailor shop clean and organized.
• Make sure that customers are properly sized.
• Offer new wardrobe ensemble suggestions.
