Job summary

Men’s Wearhouse is seeking a Retail Store Tailor – Alterations to assist customers with fittings and alterations, using your tailoring knowledge to deliver precise results. You’ll greet customers, understand requests, and ensure garments are tailored to achieve the perfect fit.

You will need formal tailoring training or menswear tailoring experience, strong sewing skills, and a collaborative attitude to support the team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Formal tailoring training preferred.
• Experience as a menswear tailor preferred.
• Proficiency with sewing equipment.
• Strong communication skills and team attitude.
• Proficiency in alterations of men’s tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper fit of garments.
• Mark garments for tailoring.
• Press garments.
• Answer customer questions.
• Maintain an open dialogue with management.
• Help other team members.
• Help to keep the tailor shop clean and organized.
• Make sure that customers are properly sized.
• Offer new wardrobe ensemble suggestions.
