Job summary

Men’s Wearhouse, a Tailored Brands division, is seeking a Retail Store Tailor—Alterations to provide personalized alteration services and assist customers with special requests. You will mark, tailor, and press garments to ensure final products look attractive and fit well.

Ideal candidates have formal tailoring training or menswear tailoring experience, strong sewing skills, and excellent communication. This is an on-site role with emphasis on customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Formal tailoring training is preferred.
• Menswear tailoring experience is preferred.
• Good technical sewing skills required.
• Knowledge of various sewing equipment preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Team attitude and enthusiasm expected.
• Proficiency in all alterations of men’s tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the selling process by greeting and responding to customers with special requests.
• Mark, alter, and press garments to ensure proper fit and appearance.
• Ensure proper garment fit and address customer questions.
• Speak with customers and offer wardrobe ensemble suggestions.
• Maintain an organized and clean tailor shop.
• Support other team members as needed.
• Keep customers properly sized during fittings.
• Collaborate with management and store team.
