Job summary

Huckberry is seeking an Associate Designer in Austin, TX to steer in-house menswear lines from inspiration to production. You will bridge Merchandising, Tech, and Production, manage lifecycles, and keep seasons on schedule. The role requires 2-4 years in apparel, a degree in Apparel/Fashion Design, and strong drawing and PLM skills.

Relocation support is provided for a remote hire. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing men’s shop with strong benefits and a collaborative design culture.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in the apparel industry.
• Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to navigate shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop, experience with PLM.
• Solid understanding of garment construction and fabric properties.
• Strong passion for menswear; menswear experience is a plus.
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot issues on the go; can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support seasonal development calendar with milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain awareness of corporate calendar; prioritize tasks across seasons.
• Prepare development packages with sketches, construction call-outs, materials, trims, artwork, and color information.
• Create/update technical sketches, BOMs, PLM, and Miro board updates.
• Manage proto samples, lab dips, trims, and other development submits.
