Job summary

Huckberry in Austin, TX is seeking an Apparel Design Intern to gain hands-on experience across menswear categories, from wovens to knits, under a fast-paced, influential retail brand.

You will organize fabrics and color archives, help update linesheets, participate in fittings, assist with tech packs and Illustrator CAD updates, while developing skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant BA in menswear or fashion design is required.
• Strong digital skills with Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Word are essential.
• Positive attitude in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities are important.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines across projects.

The Apparel Design team is looking for a hard-working design intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience with integral tasks, processes, and functions found in a fast-paced and influential menswear retail brand.

The intern will be working across multiple lifestyle brands and multiple categories, from wovens to knits, shirts to bottoms, and outerwear to swim.

Ideal candidate must be passionate and enthusiastic with an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Organize fabric, trims, samples, and color archives
• Update and manage seasonal linesheets
• Participate in fitting and prototype meetings
• Assist with tech pack updates
• Assist with Illustrator CAD updates (patterns, artwork, sketches)

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.A. in Menswear, Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related major
• Strong digital skill set and solid experience in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Excel, and Word
• A positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and ensure satisfactory and timely completion of projects
